Veravas enjoyed meeting all of you and exhibiting at the 71st AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, August 4th-8th at Booth #1469.
If you missed the special Immunoassay Interferences and Their Impact on Patient Care workshop on August 7th at 7:00 a.m., you can watch the recording below.
· Nikola Baumann, PhD, DABCC, Co-Director Central Clinical Laboratory and Central Processing at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN
· Brooke Katzman, PhD, DABCC, Co-Director of the Hospital Clinical Lab and Point of Care Testing at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN
· Pr. Damien Gruson, PhD, EuSpLM, FESC, Chef du Service de Biochimie Médicale in Bruxelles – Belgique
In this session industry experts reviewed how the common immunoassay formats work, how the different types of interference mechanisms cause falsely elevated and suppressed results for each assay format, how these interferences may impact patient care and outcomes, and how current strategies are used to troubleshoot interference.
Joshua Soldo, Chief Scientific Officer, presented on their patent pending technology and sample preparation products at the AACC Innovation Zone on Tuesday, August 6, from 12:00-12:10pm. The company’s technology helps laboratory professionals detect, remove, and manage interferences that impact laboratory results while IVD manufacturers reformulate their immunoassays to address biotin interference, ultimately helping make diagnostic tests more accurate and reliable.
